New details have emerged in the case of the woman who was killed when her car was struck and crushed by a falling tree in Newport Beach. The Daily Pilot has tried to obtain the investigation results from the City of Newport Beach, as to the cause of the tree falling. The city has refused to share the results of its investigation into the cause of the Newport Beach accident.

The victim of the Newport Beach wrongful death accident was Haeyoon Miller, who was driving on Irvine Avenue when the blue gum Eucalyptus tree crushed her vehicle. According to the Los Angeles Times, the family of the Newport Beach wrongful death victim is waiting to decide if it will take legal action, which would likely include a Newport Beach wrongful death claim.

A twenty eight year old man was killed this morning when he was struck by an Amtrak train in a Northridge train accident. According to the Los Angeles Times, the man was walking on the railroad tracks when he was hit by the Amtrak passenger train near Lindley Ave. in Northridge, California. Los Angeles Fire Department rescuers declared the man dead at the scene.

According to the Los Angeles police department, nobody on the train was injured in the California train accident. The reason the man was on the tracks and hit by the train remains unknown to investigators.

A tragic Calabasas car accident on the 101 freeway, near the Las Virgenes exit, has left a 9 year old girl dead and her mother critically injured with burn injuries. Dramatic video from the scene of the Calabasas accident, wherein bystanders are trying to help the mother after rescuing her from the vehicle, can be seen here courtesy of CBS News.

The Calabasas freeway accident happened Saturday morning at about 8:30am on the southbound lanes of the 101 freeway. The car apparently lost control and hit the center divider and a tanker truck. As a result, the car rolled over and became engulfed in flames. While the mother was able to exit the car with severe burn injuries, she was not able to save her 9 year old daughter, who died in the accident in Calabasas.

A motorcyclist was killed early this morning in a Los Angeles motorcycle accident on the Harbor Freeway. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles motorcycle crash occurred at about 3:45 in the morning, south of downtown on the Harbor Freeway north, near Adams Blvd.

The California Highway Patrol is in charge of investigating the cause of the motorcycle accident in Los Angeles. One possible cause was apparently that a driver may have been attempting to avoid hitting a mattress which was on the freeway.

The driver of a big rig truck was killed after the truck overturned in a Santa Clarita truck accident. The Los Angeles Times reports that the big rig truck accident in Santa Clarita occurred on the 5 Freeway. The Santa Clarita truck crash left a fuel spill over many lanes of the 5 Freeway.

The California Highway Patrol claimed that the truck driver passed away at the scene of the Santa Clarita big rig truck accident. There were no immediate reports of what caused this California truck accident death and if any other vehicles were involved.

A motorcycle accident in Silverado Canyon caused the death of both the driver and passenger on the motorcycle. According to the Los Angeles Times, the motorcycle crash occurred when the motorcycle slid down an embankment and crashed into trees off the road.

The driver of the motorcycle, Donn LaVigne, was from Anaheim Hills, California. The woman passenger on the motorcycle who was also killed in the California motorcycle accident has not yet been identified by the California Highway Patrol.

Rigoberto Yanez, a fifty seven year old man from Los Angeles, California, was killed today when a gate collapsed on him in a tragic work accident in Sereno. According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, Yanez was working at the Chimentis Baking Company early this morning when the gate apparently came off of the track and fell onto him, crushing him to death.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Cal/OSHA, the Division of Occupational Safety and Health, which strives to protect workers and the general public from dangerous conditions and safety hazards, is investigating this California wrongful death incident.

An off duty detective with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department died Wednesday from injuries he suffered in an Irvine bike accident. The man, Detective Duane Parkison, who worked at the Rancho Cucamonga station, was hit by a sports utility vehicle in Irvine, California.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Irvine police are investigating the Irvine bicycle accident. The cause of the bicycle accident in Irvine has either not yet been determined or released.

A Pomona car accident caused the death of a twenty two year old man on the Pomona Freeway early this morning. According to the Los Angeles Times and California Highway Patrol, for unknown reasons, the man crashed his vehicle, a 1991 Acura, into the center divider of the freeway. Shortly thereafter, a Toyota apparently struck the driver’s side of the Acura, killing the man inside the Acura.

The driver of the Toyota, a twenty eight year old man, apparently told the California Highway Patrol that he did not see the disabled Acura before colliding with it. The reasons for the initial Pomona freeway crash are currently unknown. It is also not known why the second driver did not see the disabled Acura before colliding with it.

A Los Angeles car accident on the 105 freeway Thursday night caused the death of one person and injuries to three others. The car accident in Los Angeles apparently happened when a Toyota Camry rear ended a tow truck that was stopped on the shoulder of the 105 freeway. The tow truck was assisting a car with a flat tire at the time.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles freeway accident did not cause injuries to the tow truck driver or to anyone from the car that was being assisted by the tow truck driver. This indicates that the tow truck driver was probably not inside the tow truck at the time of the Los Angeles freeway car accident.
