2 People Injured in North Hills Car Accident

Early Thursday morning, two people suffered injuries in a North Hills car accident. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, the car accident occurred when one vehicle collided with three or more parked cars on the side of the roadway.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the car accident scene and two people were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, their injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

The scene of the car accident in North Hills looks from the pictures to be a pretty bad accident and at least two of the cars may be totaled.

Our California personal injury lawyers occasionally receive calls from people who had their parked car damaged or even totaled by another driver. The first source for a monetary recovery is usually the insurance company for the driver who caused the accident. However, sometimes, including in instances where more than one parked car is damaged, there could be a policy limits issue and there may not be enough coverage to repair or replace all of the damaged vehicles.

If the owner of a parked car has collision coverage, that coverage should cover the damage to his or her car, usually minus a deductible, which should be reimbursed by the party that caused the collision. The owner of the damaged car also has the right to sue the party that caused the car accident, either in small claims court or in superior court, depending on how much damage there is and how much it will cost to either repair the damage or replace the total loss of the vehicle.

Our experienced injury lawyers handle cases all over California involving serious injuries caused by many different types of accidents. We offer a free consultation to all accident victims.
